About the role
This role is to support a key Firstname client who are one of New Zealand’s largest corporates. You will be working with their customer facing teams supporting the daily field operations utilising a range of GIS applications based on the Esri Enterprise and Online GIS platforms. This is one of those rare opportunities where you’ll be using your GIS skills to work with a large commercial organisation to deliver to their business goals.
We are interviewing now with the role starting mid-January 2021.
You will be working with a range of stakeholders and your day will include a variety of GIS administration, analysis, data management, planning and direct communications. Things can & do change rapidly so you need to be ready to adapt as required. It’s an exciting environment and one where you’ll be able to develop both your technical Esri GIS, analytical and task management skills.
The key responsibilities include:
- Answering & directing frontline enquiries from a widespread national & offshore team.
- Liaison with the business managers and team leaders to ensure effective deployment of field resource.
- Working with the GIS Consultants to ensure continuous improvement of the applications supporting the operations.
- Taking ownership of when things need to change, adaptability in a fast-moving environment is important
Skills and experience
This is a great learning opportunity for someone who has completed their degree which included GIS as either part of under or post graduate. You are most likely looking for your first role or may have some workforce experience and looking to put your GIS skills to work to grow further.
