GBS exclusively works with the Esri products and technologies with regards to GIS and we are also an Esri Gold Business Partner which we work hard to maintain.  We believe that we are one of only a couple of Professional Services companies in NZ that can do the technical heavy lifting required for enterprise spatial solutions in the Esri stack.

Much of our work is technically challenging and often leading edge due to our customer demands.  We create solutions across a broad range of industry sectors (such as local / central government, agriculture, forestry, utilities and commercial).

This position requires someone with at least 5 years’ commercial experience as a BA (experience as a GIS PM will also be considered), and at least 7 years’ experience in GIS / IT industry overall.  Experience and an excellent knowledge of the Esri platform is desirable but is not a show stopper.  The successful applicant will ideally have an excellent understanding of the software development life cycle. You will have strong communications, problem solving, analytical and management skills and be able to liaise seamlessly between business and technical contributors internally and externally.

GBS is looking for someone who can gather requirements from and for customers, who can distill requirements into concise user stories which represent the needs of the clients’ business and provide business value. You will need to be able to collaborate effectively with all participants (including our customers) to ensure successful solution delivery.  We are also looking for someone who can follow process and can ensure that our project staff are also following process.

The BA will work closely with our Solution Managers as well as other Project Managers and the technical team on the development and delivery of projects including solution testing.

This will be a client facing role and as such you will be expected to develop and foster excellent and collaborative relationships with our clients. The role may also require onsite BA and PM activities from time to time.
