The Office of Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu is a dynamic and contemporary organisation that exists to support the tribal institutions of Ngāi Tahu and to give effect to the aspirations of Ngāi Tahu Whānui guided by our vision of ‘Mō tātou, ā, mō kā uri ā muri ake nei’ (for us and our children after us).
Our Business Information Services team is currently searching for a Geospatial Technician who will support the enhancement of geospatial information technology across the Ngāi Tahu Group.
The Geospatial Technician will be responsible for:
- Planning, organising, coordinating and participating in the development and implementation of the Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu geographic information system (GIS).
- Directing and participating in the long-term development and enhancement of GIS information technology to meet the Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu mapping and end user service objectives.
- Supervising and performing typical GIS related duties of map and data creation, administration.
- Provides expertise, support, assistance and guidance to the Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu staff and external contacts.
