We are seeking a Geospatial Analyst to join our growing team at GEOINT New Zealand (GNZ). GNZ is the national lead for Geospatial Intelligence in New Zealand and is responsible for providing imagery and geospatial intelligence to the New Zealand Defence Force, government agencies and other customers.
Based in Devonport, Auckland, the successful applicant would be working within a dynamic environment creating a range of aeronautical products and data and have access to an extensive suite of geospatial hardware and software. Current GNZ activities include geospatial data acquisition, integration, analysis and visualisation, geodatabase design, cartography and online-mapping.
Experience with GIS software is required, as is attention to detail, accuracy, strong cartographic skills and the ability to show initiative. Knowledge of Esri’s ArcGIS and the Adobe suite of software would be advantageous, as would experience with aeronautical navigation and charts. The role will involve liaison with the NZDF community, international military agencies and Government Departments.
