The Geospatial Programme Delivery Team is responsible for delivering all ICT initiatives at Auckland Council that require geospatial intelligence or technologies. We believe in building relationships and collaborating to empower users of geospatial solutions and drive innovation and capability. We also believe in operating in a high performing, agile manner to work efficiently and effectively to deliver high value solutions.
Your key responsibilities will be helping to lead the delivery of the geospatial programme of work and provide leadership to multiple projects through all stages of the project lifecycle. You will be applying your experience with Esri and Safe products, using industry best practise, to lead and implement major change to the Auckland Council GIS.
You will be working to continually improve business processes around programme delivery and work with our customers to deliver great outcomes. Finally, you will build relationships and collaborate to empower users of geospatial solutions and drive innovation and capability.
You will have 5+ years’ experience of Esri and Safe Software within an enterprise sized environment as well as experience in leading the design and build of geospatial solutions. You will be experienced in leading projects from initial interaction and consultancy through business case to building and implementation. It’s important that you are able to work collaboratively within project teams across the whole ICT landscape and have an appreciation of other enterprise functions. You are proactive and have a continuous improvement mind-set. Finally, you will have a Tertiary Level Qualification (Bachelor Degree Minimum), preferably in Computer Science or Geospatial Information Systems or have extensive relevant business experience
