You will be working in the Auckland Council Geospatial team as the Remote Sensing specialist. You will work with the business to gather requirements, lead procurement activities, undertake QA processes and finalise the data for storage in corporate databases. You will be the imagery and LiDAR expert in the team, providing council with remote sensing solutions, strategy and end user products, as well as promoting future possibilities.
You are a GIS expert that has worked in a large organisation and are very comfortable working with stakeholders. You understand remote sensing capture techniques and have experience working with remotely sensed datasets in an ESRI environment. Ideally, you also understand quality assurance and analysis techniques, specifically about imagery and LiDAR data. You have designed and developed data products related to remote sensing geospatial projects and understand how to best store and display these products in an enterprise environment. Ideally you will also have experience in developing strategy documents and business cases
